How to Use the NEATCELL

How to Use the NEATCELL At-Home Tattoo Removal Pen

Choosing the Right Intensity & Frequency

Every skin type and tattoo is different. The best setting can depend on the size, color, depth, and sensitivity of the treated area.

For beginners, we recommend starting with the lowest intensity and slowest frequency, then increasing gradually only if needed.

Suggested beginner setting:

  • Intensity: Level 1

  • Frequency: Slowest setting

  • Start with a small test area first.

Do not begin with high intensity. Higher settings are stronger and should only be used by people who are experienced and comfortable using the device. Always watch how your skin reacts and stop immediately if you feel unusual discomfort, irritation, or strong sensitivity.

Best Distance From the Skin

For best results, keep the laser tip very close to the skin.

The laser head should be approximately 1–2 mm away from the skin, or lightly touching the skin surface. If the device is too far from the skin, it may not work effectively.

The red laser light may appear faint, but the device can still be working.

How to Treat Dark Spots

The NEATCELL pen can be used on some visible surface pigmentation, such as freckles, age spots, and dark marks.

Point the device carefully at the targeted spot and treat only the affected area. The spot may become red or slightly yellow after use. This is a normal skin reaction. Do not scratch or pick the area. A small scab may form and fall off naturally within the following days.

Important: Do not use the device on large areas of pigmentation, deep dermal pigmentation, melasma, or sensitive facial pigmentation without professional advice.

How to Fade Tattoos & Eyebrow Marks

Tattoo and eyebrow pigment removal usually requires multiple sessions. Results are gradual and depend on the pigment color, depth, tattoo age, skin type, and the size of the tattoo.

Most users may need several sessions, usually spaced around 4 weeks apart.

During treatment, the skin may become slightly gray, yellow, or form a light scab. Once this happens, stop treating that area and allow the skin to heal naturally.

For larger tattoos, treat the area in small sections over multiple sessions. Do not try to treat a large tattoo all at once, as this may increase the risk of irritation or infection.

Do not use near the eyes. Do not use on eyeliner tattoos. Never point the device at the eyes.

How to Treat Moles

Some pigmented moles may appear on the surface of the skin, while others may be deeper. Because moles can vary greatly, we recommend consulting a dermatologist before using any removal device on a mole.

If you choose to treat a surface-level mole, start with the lowest setting and work slowly. Some deeper moles may require multiple sessions and should not be overtreated.

Light Acne Marks & Light Pigment Marks

For very light acne marks or light pigmentation, skincare products such as brightening creams, vitamin C, or spot-correcting products may be a better option.

The NEATCELL pen works best on darker pigmented areas.

Important Safety Tips

The device reacts more strongly to darker pigment. Light-colored marks or tattoos may be less responsive.

Avoid using the device on:

  • Open wounds

  • Irritated skin

  • Infected skin

  • Fresh tattoos

  • Eyeliner tattoos

  • The eye area

  • Large skin areas in one session

  • Scar tissue unless advised by a professional

Always clean the skin before use and keep the device tip clean.

Aftercare Instructions

After using the NEATCELL pen, proper aftercare is very important.

Keep the Area Clean & Dry

For the first few days, avoid soaking the treated area. You may gently clean around it, but do not scrub.

For small spots, you can cover the area with a waterproof bandage before showering. For larger treated areas, use a waterproof medical dressing if needed.

After washing, gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel.

Do Not Pick the Scab

A small scab may form after treatment. Let it fall off naturally. Picking or scratching the scab can increase the risk of marks, irritation, or infection.

Avoid alcohol and harsh skincare products on the treated area until it has fully healed.

Redness After the Scab Falls Off

After the scab falls off, the skin may look pink or red. This is usually a normal part of the healing process.

To support healing, you can apply a gentle soothing product such as aloe vera gel or vitamin E. Massage very gently only after the skin has closed and is no longer sensitive.

Practice Before First Use

If you are new to using the NEATCELL pen, practice first before using it on visible areas.

You can practice on a piece of fruit by drawing dark dots with a black pen, then testing the laser on those marks. This helps you understand how the device works and improves your control.

Start with less visible areas before treating more noticeable areas.
